The lining (1) has a carrier element comprising a circular ring structure with an extension, which is elastically deformed and is extended over a partial region. Fastening sections (6) e.g. loops, are radially extended over a radial extension of a friction lining material (3) e.g. integrated ring, and connect the lining to a coupling disk (10). The carrier element made of a spring sheet steel is partially embedded into the lining material. The structure is formed by assembling carrier element segments over a periphery of the friction lining, so that a space remains between the segments.
