The lining (1) is designed as a closed ring for formation of a friction surface (12) and a friction lining rear side. A carrier element is embedded in friction lining material (3). The carrier element includes fastening sections (6) for fastening the lining to a clutch disk, where the fastening sections are radially formed within the friction surface. The carrier element is formed by bent wire or sheet strips, which extend as the closed ring over a circumference of the lining and form the fastening sections.
