The roof (10) has a fixed roof part (16) arranged behind a movable roof part (14). The movable roof part is lifted upwardly over the roof for partial release of a roof opening using a mechanism. The movable part is lifted rearwardly over the fixed part in a lifting position. A guide i.e. Z-shaped bar, is arranged at the fixed part, and center and rear sliding elements are connected with a raising lever. The sliding elements are movably led to the guide. A front sliding element is connected with the lever and stays in contact with another guide, which is arranged at the movable part.
