The method comprises melting glass (35) to form a preform, and bright molding the headlight lens/the free form on both sides, from the preform. The glass is melted in a melting unit having a capacity of no more than 80 kg/h. The glass is melted in melting assembly (2) from a mixture at temperature of no more than 1000[deg] C. A mixture carpet is provided with a thickness of 2-7 cm on the glass to be melted in the melting assembly. The temperature gradient of the preform is reversed. The preform is moved for turning around its temperature gradients to cooled lance lying through a tempering device. The method comprises melting glass (35) to form a preform, and bright molding the headlight lens or the free form on both sides, from the preform. The glass is melted in a melting unit having a capacity of no more than 80 kg/h. The glass is melted in a melting assembly (2) from a mixture at a temperature of no more than 1000[deg] C. A mixture carpet is provided with a thickness of 2-7 cm on the glass to be melted in the melting assembly. The temperature gradient of the preform is reversed. The preform is moved for turning around its temperature gradients to a cooled lance lying through a tempering device or is held in the tempering device.
