The method comprises subjecting frozen goods in an area of a cooling- and/or freezing device by microwave irradiation, which is adjusted in such a way that the temperature of the frozen goods does not exceed a limit, where the limit is a temperature of less than 0[deg] C. The microwave radiation is continuously pulsed. The microwave irradiation is adjusted with respect to its duration, intensity and/or direction. A parameter marking the frozen goods is determined through the cooling- and/or freezing device. The method comprises subjecting frozen goods in an area of a cooling- and/or freezing device by microwave irradiation, which is adjusted in such a way that the temperature of the frozen goods does not exceed a limit, where the limit is a temperature of less than 0[deg] C. The microwave radiation is continuously pulsed. The microwave irradiation is adjusted with respect to its duration, intensity and/or direction. A parameter marking the frozen goods is determined through the cooling- and/or freezing device. The temperature of the frozen goods is determined and the microwave irradiation is adjusted dependent upon the determined temperature and parameter according to a program. The frozen goods are twisted during or after the microwave irradiation and flow by air before, during or after the microwave irradiation. The frozen goods are held, heated or cooled after reaching a target temperature of less than 0[deg] C. An independent claim is included for a cooling- and/or freezing device.
