Use and composition of pharmaceutical formulations for metabolic activation of analgesic effects in chronic pain, is claimed. Polyphenolic flavonoids are used in suitable pharmaceutical formulations and reduce interstitial dysiony of damaged cells and consecutively influence the actual membrane potential of afferent neurons. ACTIVITY : Analgesic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Mitochondrial proton F0F1-ATPase; ATP synthase inhibitor. No biological data given.
