Method for treating the incision surfaces in a transparent material, especially in the cornea, comprises forming a partial volume using the incision surfaces produced by a femtosecond laser and subjecting at least one incision surface to a radiation from an additional radiation source after removing the partial volume. Preferred Features: The incision surfaces are wetted with a liquid or a pharmaceutical product before using the additional radiation source. The liquid is a sterile base saline solution.
