The system has a monitoring unit carried as a wristwatch by a person to be monitored and a control unit carried as the wristwatch by a supervisor, where the control unit is associated to the monitoring unit. The control unit and the monitoring unit communicate with each other in fixed time intervals. The monitoring unit and the control unit include a secure wrist band, which triggers an alarm during unauthorized opening. Transmitting and receiving units communicate directly with each other and are mutually monitored.
