The device has an acceleration measuring device attached to a measuring contact area for measuring acceleration in an X-direction. A friction contact area (2) is movable opposite to the measuring area in a Y-direction and a Z-direction lying transverse to the Y-direction and X-direction. The measuring area is adjustable and/or movable in the X-direction opposite to the friction area for producing contact between the measuring contact area and the friction contact area. The X-direction is arranged transverse to the Y-direction and/or the Z-direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for evaluating a stick-slip effect between a friction contact area and a measuring contact area.
