The process for increasing a changing temperature-resistance of a turbine housing (3) in an exhaust gas turbocharger (1) and/or an exhaust manifold (2), comprises surface-hardening the turbine housing and/or the exhaust manifold by a shot blasting method or a laser beam in an area-wise manner and then polishing and/or sharpening. During the shot blasting method, the ball is used with a diameter of 0.10-0.20 mm and the steel ball is used. Independent claims are included for: (1) an exhaust gas turbocharger for a motor vehicle; and (2) an exhaust manifold.
