The arrangement has a spring-damping element (1) connecting a wheel with a vehicle body (2). The element has a spiral coiled spring (3) clamped between an upper spring plate (4) and a lower spring plate (5), and a vibration damper (6). The upper plate is rotatably supported opposite to a piston rod (6.2) of the damper around a longitudinal axis (LA). A threaded spindle-like section (7) is provided in a free end section (6.21) of the rod and cooperates with a spindle nut unit (8) connected with the body. The rod is driven around the axis by a motor to perform level-controlling of the vehicle.
