The device has nut half (3) that is arranged in a recess (2.1) and coupled with a mechanism, such that the nut half is spaceable for rapid adjustment of threaded spindle (1) inside the recess to threaded spindle. The nut half is arranged for blocking the quick adjustment by a mechanism, such that nut half is moveable within the recess both parallel and transverse to longitudinal axis of spindle, until the threads of the nut half are in engagement with the thread (G) of spindle, and the spindle is fixed axially with engaged nut half. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a device for blocking quick adjustment of threaded spindle relative to component by nut half.
