The drum motor (1) has a housing (19), and an inner rotor-electrical motor (4) arranged within a rotationally-symmetrical drum (2). An inner rotor is mechanically coupled with the drum to drive the drum. A heat conducting body (12) is arranged within the drum. The heat conducting body has a cross section changing in an axial direction with respect to a rotational axis (17). The drum, electric motor and the heat conducting body are essentially coaxial with respect to the rotational axis. A gap (13) is formed between the heat conducting body and the drum.
