The surface cladding system (110) comprises two cladding modules (112), which are laid on the surface in a manner adjoining each other. One of the cladding modules is provided with sealing profiles (128,130,132). The sealing profiles are designed to engage each other in a laid state of the cladding modules and form a common seal (134). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) cladding modules for use in surface cladding system; and (2) a frame for use in surface cladding system.
