The device (1) has an air sucking device i.e. blower (4), for sucking of surrounding air, and a plasma production device (6) i.e. electrode, for producing plasma, where electrical discharge is generated at the electrode. The blower blows out a mixture of surrounding air and plasma into an object (11) which is to be cleaned. A housing (2) has an exhaust opening (8) that is surrounded by a seal (9) i.e. flexible rubber seal. A pressure sensor detects the excess pressure in a region of the exhaust opening.
