The method involves providing half shells (11, 12) of a multi-part sleeve (10) in a longitudinal direction by deep drawing and stretch-forming, and connecting the half shells to the sleeve. The sleeve is made of plastic and provided with inner- and/or outer threads. The inner- and/or outer threads are attached to the half shells of the sleeve by stamping. The half shells are connected by gluing or welding such as laser welding, resistance welding, electron beam welding and ultrasonic welding. A contact surface of the half shells is enlarged at connection parts of the half shells. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an electrical or electronic device comprising a sleeve (2) a method for manufacturing an electrical or electronic device.
