The device (1) has a controlling device (5) controlling current flowing through a load (4), and a transistor (6) i.e. p-channel metal oxide semiconductor, controlling the controlling device based on a control-voltage (U2). The controlling device has another transistor (9) i.e. n-channel metal oxide semiconductor, connected with the former transistor, such that switching of the former transistor causes the switching of the latter transistor. The latter transistor maintains the switching condition of the former transistor till the control voltage falls below a threshold valve. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an arrangement for monitoring fuses (2) a method for switching an input-voltage lying at an input port to a load.
