The module (1) has electrical storage cells (5.1-5.8) switched in series, and measuring devices (18, 20) comprising a determining device for determining cell voltage of the storage cells. Positive contact elements (6.1-6.8) and negative contact elements (7.1-7.8) are formed as end contact elements (11, 12) of a series circuit. The contact elements are connected to contact pairs (13.1-13.7) in sequences (9, 10) in an electrically conductive manner. The sequences are assigned to the measuring devices that are electrically connected with the contact pair and the end contact element. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining cell voltages of storage cells of electric storage i.e. rechargeable battery.
