Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist, is claimed. ACTIVITY : Cardiant. The mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist activity of potassium canrenoate was tested in invivo rabbit hearts which were subjected to 30 minutes regional ischaemia and 120 minutes reperfusion. The results showed that the bolus with a dose of 10 mg/kg showed a reduction of infarct severity by 82%. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist.
