The tube (1) has a sealing ring (6) provided with a passage opening in a middle area of the tube, and an elastic sealing element (3) formed as a closure corresponding to the ring and lying at the ring in a sealing position. The sealing element is designed spherically and has a cup-shaped recess (4) at a side that is turned away from the element. The sealing ring is connected to a metal ring (9) and a retaining flange (10) in the tube in an exchangeable manner. The element consists of halves (12, 13) connected over fastening parts for covering an anchor chain (2) i.e. hawse chain.
