摘要

The method involves prohibiting supply of reactants to a fuel cell stack, and dissipating electrical energy from the fuel cell stack. A measured variable i.e. electrical voltage, characterizing electrical content of the fuel cell stack, is monitored when the electrical energy is dissipated from the fuel cell stack. Residue of the reactants in a fuel cell system is cleaned, when the electrical energy is dissipated. Determination is made whether the variable reaches a threshold value. A signal is output, when the variable reaches the value by a signaling device.
