The socket (1) has a terminal centering and/or holding device i.e. pin (3), and an attachment piece (7) formed as a modular connector and fitted in a plug socket of a terminal, where the plug socket is operated for signal transmission. The attachment piece fits in a standard plug socket corresponding to Registration Jackstandard. A connection unit i.e. bar (5), is connected with the attachment piece and provided for a cable (9) for signal transmission. The connection unit connects the cable with a twisted pair of wires. An independent claim is also included for a device for transmitting a signal for domestic communication.
