Drive train for vehicle e.g. automobile, has two torque transferring components, where cutting device splits one of torque transferring components at preset compressive strain of two torque transferring components
The train (1) has a torque transferring component i.e. transmission output shaft (2), rotatably coupled with another torque transferring component i.e. drive shaft (3), and a cutting device (7) splitting the former torque transferring component at preset compressive strain of the two torque transferring components. The cutting device comprises a cutting element (8) that is radially aligned with respect to an axial direction of the torque transferring components. The drive shaft is made of fiber-plastic composite material.
