The cardan joint comprises a spider (1) with four radially extending pins (2) that are arranged around a rotational axis of the spider. A centering ring (7) has a surrounding support area (8) which is inserted between a base (6) and a front side (5). The support area forms the circular pressure lines (11,12) around a bearing axis (14) of a needle bearing (4) with annular contact areas (9,10). The centering ring is made of a plastic material.
