The device i.e. commercial drum filter (2), has a housing (4), and a filter drum (8) rotatably supported and arranged in the housing. A drive rotates the filter drum, and a collecting device is partially arranged for collecting a filtered product. A transfer device e.g. spray nozzle, releases the product from the drum and transfers the product into the collecting device. The collecting device is designed as a drawer (26) and supported in the housing. A front section of the collecting device protrudes from the housing during maximum pushing of the collecting device into the housing.
