The device has guiding channels (2, 3) comprising filter housings (4, 5) with a mineral filter element, and a microwave source (6) arranged at the filter housing. The microwave source radiates microwave to the filter element, and exhaust channels (9, 10) collect fluid exhaust material produced in the filter housing by the microwave radiation. A supply unit supplies additives e.g. water vapor, to the filter housing, and a plasma reactor (11) is arranged downstream of the collecting arrangement, where the reactor converts hydrocarbon-containing exhaust material into synthesis gas.
