The deflector (100) has a first area (102) arranged such that the first area (102) extends axially at a clutch arrangement of a transmission. A second area (104) is arranged such that the second area (104) is partially and radially aligned with the first area (102). A third area (106) axially extends from the first and the second areas (102, 104) and forms a section of a partially surrounding region (114). An end (120) of the third area (106) extends inwards in a radial direction with respect to the first area (102) and forms an axial opening (122) for the region. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling cooling oil flow in a transmission.
