The wheel spoiler is pivotable around a pivot axis that runs horizontally. The wheel spoiler is made from plastic, and has rods that run diagonal to each other, where the rods are connected with one another in a connection area by a curve-shaped air-conducting part. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an air duct device of a passenger car.
