The method involves preparing a sub-surface of a concrete component (2) in an area of a crack (1) or a joint. An inclined hole (4) is provided in the concrete component leading from a surface (3) of the concrete component to the crack or the joint. A sealant (6), particularly epoxy resin, is injected in the inclined hole for filling the crack or the joint with the sealant. A primer (7) is applied on the surface of the concrete component in the area of the crack and the joint. A lattice band or a plastic non-woven web is provided on a cover layer (8).
