The method involves producing polymer melt through a melt source, and feeding the polymer melt to an extrusion process with parallely operated extrusion bodies (20.1-20.4) in multiple partial melt streams. A parameter i.e. purity level, of the polymer melt is determined with the melt streams, where the melt streams are supplied to the extrusion bodies. The melt streams are supplied to a measuring device in the bodies, where the measuring device is held for exchanging extrusion dies (21.1-21.4) at the bodies. Multiple strand-shaped filaments are extruded in the bodies by a spinneret (22). An independent claim is also included for a measuring device for testing a polymer melt.
