Packaging for food with absorbent inserts

The packing (1) has an absorbent insert (3) that is inserted into a cup (2), a body that is made of absorptive material e.g. cellulose, and a cover. The insert is arranged at an edge of a base of the cup. An area (21) in a center of the base is designed as a supporting surface for food (5). The base of the cup has a recess i.e. blind hole, into which the insert is inserted. A water-permeable support is provided on the insert, where the support is a diaphragm and/or foil. The insert is in the form of cylinder, ball, cone, truncated cone or ellipsoid.
