To improve the integrity means of communication

The switch (10) has a switch traffic management ruler i.e. processor (20B), permitting invalidation of a communication channel by comparison with counter thresholds of detected transmission errors stored in a database (20A). The thresholds include minimum number of discarded frames, where the minimum number of discarded frames is set to a value of order of 2274 Ethernetframes when theoretical speed of the channel is in order of 100 megabits per second. An independent claim is also included for a method for detecting and treating failures of communication network switch.
