The shoe/cast has a sole (2) provided with lateral rims on two longitudinal sides. The rims are directed towards the top and provided with longitudinal zippers. A shell of selected height includes lower lateral parts engaged in the zippers. A retaining unit is formed by holes and fixation screw (16) e.g. self-tapping screw. The retaining unit retains the shell on the sole in a non permanent manner. An inner boot (20) is made of foam and placed between the sole and the shell. The sole is symmetric with respect to its longitudinal medial axis.
