The device (24) has a connection (28) formed toward a control unit (14) i.e. brake pedal, that controls mechanical brake units (12a-12d). A connection (30) is formed toward a power train (6), and transmits a minimal torque set point, where the power train is coupled to an axle (4). A control unit (10) i.e. acceleration pedal, controls the minimal torque set point delivered by the power train. A minimal torque set point decreasing unit decreases the minimal torque set point delivered by the power train according to an action level on the control unit (14). An independent claim is also included for a method for managing slow motion rolling of a motor vehicle.
