Process for preparing a suspension of carbon nanotubes in a first solution (S1) comprises contacting the first solution with the nanotubes grafted by a molecule carrying a group capable of forming an ionic entity in the first solution. Independent claims are included for: (1) the suspension of the carbon nanotubes, in the first solution and the second solution; and (2) a kit for the preparation of the suspension of the nanotubes comprising nanotubes in the first compartment, at least one molecule or the precursor in the second compartment, optionally the first solution, in a third compartment, and optionally the second solution, in the fourth compartment.
