The device (D) has a capacitive sensor (CC) placed in two distinct capacitive states defining two distinct commands for a function i.e. opening function, of an equipment or an unit e.g. door (VA). An electrically conductive element (ES) i.e. motor vehicle part, is placed at a chosen distance from the sensor, without a wireline connection with the sensor. The element allows the placing of the sensor in one of the states when the element is tactually contacted by a part i.e. person finger, placed at an electric potential. The element is made of metallic material.
