The device (1) has a control element (2) e.g. trigger switch (3) and double rocker switch, movable between positions, where function of a motor car is assigned to one of the positions. The control element is provided with a touch-sensitive sensor (5) i.e. capacitive sensor, where different functions are triggered by manual operation of the control element based on a point at which the sensor is in contact by operation of the control element. The control element is rotatably supported around a rotational axis, and provides haptic and/or acoustic feedback during its operation.
