The system has an image processing unit i.e. processor (19), associated to a shooting unit that shoots an environment near a landing zone, for determining position of a drone with respect to a naval platform from the configuration of optical markers forming units perceived by the shooting units. The shooting unit is formed of a large field camera (16) and small field cameras (17, 18). The optical markers forming units are formed of LEDs i.e. infra-red LEDs. A control unit controls blinking of the LEDs.
