The assembly has a semi-mold locking unit (2) with stop forming elements (21, 22) projected from plane surfaces (110, 120) on respective semi-molds (11, 12). The surfaces are extended on both sides of a joint plane (10), when the semi-molds are in closed position. A steel locking piece (20) has branches (23) connected by a central core (24). The piece is supported on the surfaces and locked around the elements following to a rotation movement in a plane defined by the surfaces and under the effect of elastic deformation of one of the branches coming in contact with the corresponding element. An independent claim is also included for a method for locking a molding assembly.
