The wheel has an electrical motor integrated for rotating the wheel at a speed adequate for landing, or for freely rotating the wheel based on desires of a pilot. The electrical motor permits braking of the wheel in a motor brake mode by electromagnetic force and permits the airplane to roll on the ground without activating the motor and without being towed. The electrical motor produces a strong electrical force and draws electrical energy from embarked batteries that are recharged during flight of the airplane.
