POWER TRANSMITTING SYSTEM OF AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE FOR MOVING THE VEHICLE, WHICH STOPS BY THE BREAKDOWN OF A MOTOR, WITHOUT THE MOTOR BY PERMITTING FREE ROTATION OF A REDUCER AND PREVENTING A SUDDEN BRAKING IN LOCK-UP OF THE MOTOR
PURPOSE: A power transmitting system of an electric vehicle is provided to move the vehicle even for failure or lock-up of a motor by disposing an overrun clutch holding only unidirectional rotation for rotation difference between the motor and a reducer for transmitting power of the motor to a vehicle wheel. CONSTITUTION: A power transmitting system of an electric vehicle is composed of a motor(10) for generating rotary power by a storage battery; a transmitting member(20) connected with the motor to deliver rotary power; and a reducer(30) coupled with the transmitting member to drive a differential gear(40) for rotating a drive shaft(50) combined with a vehicle wheel(60) by accelerating/decelerating the rotary power of the motor. The transmitting member comprises an outer race joined with the motor; an inner race received in the outer race and connected with the reducer; and a clutch roller locked by a sawtoothed one-way constraining unit inclining in one direction at the constant gap in the outer race to rotate the inner race.
