The device has a frame (9) driven by an oscillation generator along a vertical axis (8) of the frame. A receiving unit (10) receives a driving wheel (1) of a vehicle. The receiving unit is mounted on a sliding platform (19), where the platform translationally slides in a plane perpendicular to the axis and rotatably slides around the axis. The frame and the platform are cooperated by an air cushion interface (28), and comprise an axial stop. The interface and the stop limit the axial displacement of the platform along two different directions, respectively.
