The substrate (1) has a primary main face (10) and an opposed secondary main face (11), where a diffusing or textured layer (2) is arranged on the secondary main face. The diffusing or textured layer is obtained by deposition of a binding layer (20). Polarizable oblong shaped particles (21) are incorporated in a thickness of the binding layer. The particles present a longitudinal axis forming an angle less than or equal to 35 degrees, where the axis is arranged in a same plane of the secondary main face. The binding layer is made of polymer such as epoxy polymer, acrylic polymer, phenol-formaldehyde resin, silicone, silica or titanium oxide. The oblong shaped particles are made of materials selected from alumina, metal oxides, hollow glass, plain glass, fibreglass and glass frit. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabrication of a transparent substrate.
