PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting pin holes and cracks in the FRP layer of an exterior wall comprising a steel sheet, heat insulation layer, and the outermost FRP layer when inspecting the exterior wall of a repository buried in an underground, and to provide an underground repository structured suitable for the method when performing the inspection.SOLUTION: A connection pipe (socket) the base end of which is welded airtight to the steel plate 31 is vertically installed at one portion of the exterior wall so as to face the inside of the underground repository.
