PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implantable cardiac assist device for analyzing patient's tolerance of a pacing mode aiming at spontaneous atrio-ventricular conduction.;SOLUTION: The device is operated in a dual chamber (DDD or both chambers) mode, and in the pacing mode aiming at spontaneous atrio-ventricular conduction, e.g., an AAI mode (10) with a ventricular sensing or a mode with hysteresis of atrio-ventricular delay. The device controls conditional switching from one mode to another mode (10-18). The device includes a hemodynamic sensor including an endocardiac acceleration sensor so as to obtain a hemodynamic index representing hemodynamic tolerance of a patient to spontaneous atrio-ventricular conduction. The device performs control to inhibit (20) or force conditional switching towards the DDD (or dual chamber) mode of the device, based on the gradual change of the hemodynamic index.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
