DUAL CANNULA SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RESTORING PARTIAL TEAR OF ROTATOR CUFF

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for restoring a partial tear of a rotator cuff. PSOLUTION: The method includes a process for positioning a desired anchor receiving site on a bone; a process for passing a positioning wire through the bone in the anchor receiving site through a soft tissue; and a process for passing an inner/outer cannula system on the positioning wire. The inner/outer cannula system includes an inner cannula having an axial lumen passing through the inner cannula whose dimension is set so as to accommodate a sharp distal end and the positioning wire; and an outer cannula whose dimension is set so as to accommodate the distal end and the inner cannula and which has an axial lumen passing through the outer cannula for coaxially accommodating the inner cannula. The distal end has a tapered form at that position showing a gradually increasing profile. The distal end part of the inner cannula includes the outer cannula extending to a distal side exceeding a terminal end part of the distal end of the outer cannula. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
