BULKER, BULK BARGE, AND METHOD FOR DESIGNING CARGO HOLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulker and a bulk barge for loading a dry bulk cargo with relatively small specific gravity such as a polymer pellet, capable of efficiently transporting the dry bulk cargo, and a method for designing a cargo hold thereof.;SOLUTION: In the bulker 1 in which a part constituting the cargo hold 10 for loading the dry bulk cargo is formed by a self-supported tank which is manufactured separately from a hull and mounted on the hull, the self-supported tank 10 is composed of an upper cylindrical body 11 which is formed so that the inner side of a wall surface is smoothed without a frame member projecting to the inner side of the wall surface, and a lower hopper 12 having a discharge port 15 at a lower portion thereof. The cross sectional shape of the upper cylinder 11 is formed by two or four circular arcs and a square connecting the adjacent circular arcs, and the frame member is disposed inside the square.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
