PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method high in a speed, and easy in the operation and bookbinding of a booklet, particularly, in the formation of a spine part.;SOLUTION: The device is composed of first and second clamping jaws mutually movable for increasing and reducing a groove by forming the groove between jaws, a device for bending a sheet layered object with the axis as a center for forming the booklet having the spine part, and a means for inserting the booklet into a gap existing in a final position defined by an inserting means, and makes a clamp force act on the booklet by moving the clamping jaws so as to reduce a gap.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
