PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent intrusion of a lightning surge current into devices on the premise of power station/substation equipment by absorbing the lightning surge current so as to avoid damage to the devices on the premise.;SOLUTION: Power station/substation equipment is configured as follows. Power transmission wires 1 are installed on a steel structure 11. One end of each power transmission wire is connected to devices on the premise (a power distribution/interconnection transformer 12, a circuit breaker 13, and a voltage transformer 15 or the like) via a jumper wire 2 and a lead-in wire 3. Each lightning arrester 19 for a power transmission wire is installed on each of the two lines of the power transmission wires so as to flow an excessive current due to a lightning stroke to the ground. A lightning surge absorber 21 absorbs a lightning surge current due to the lightning stroke so as to flow the current to the ground. Each lightning surge absorber is provided to each of the two lines of the jumper wires 2 connected to each of the two lines of the power transmission wires. One end of each lightning surge absorber 21 is connected to the jumper wire 2 while the other end is connected to the ground. Further, a rated voltage of the lightning surge absorber is set within a range from 66 to 500 kV. The lightning surge absorber is configured to be usable outdoors.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
