PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a specific consumption of raw materials in making a glass chopped strand mat.;SOLUTION: The method for producing a glass chopped strand mat includes a depositing step for depositing glass chopped strands into a sheet shape, a water spraying step for spraying water to the glass chopped strands deposited in the depositing step, a binder spraying step for spraying a solid thermoplastic resin binder onto the glass chopped strands applied with the water in the water spraying step, a heating step for heating and melting the thermoplastic resin binder sticking to the glass chopped strand mat after the binder spraying step, and a cooling step for forming the glass chopped strand mat by binding the glass chopped strands to each other by cooling the thermoplastic resin binder after the heating step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
